Re: All creatures great and small (and somewhere in between)

Can we at least keep the pups as pets? Wolves fall under my "cute and fluffy" category - hence, I do not support this. But hey, I don't live in america, so what can I do ^^; Speaking of this sort of thing, I really should check on the status of fox hunting laws over here. Although they als...

Re: All creatures great and small (and somewhere in between)

He tends to curl into the corner whenever she gets near, (probably sensing he did something wrong again).... Is this going to lead to serious future problems? This is VERY bad. I tend to smack my animals about a bit whenever they do something wrong, but I've never actually gotten them scared of me....

Re: All creatures great and small (and somewhere in between)

i dont think that a dog deserves a bad rep because of it having bad owners. Most of the time, that is true. However, Pit Bulls are genetically BAD. Yes, there are a few that can be trained, but it takes a skilled and determined owner to keep them truly under control. The problem with them is that o...

Re: All creatures great and small (and somewhere in between)

Wasn't it Pits they used as bomb-dogs? They'd run through mines and sh*t, not giving a fsck even if they got a leg blasted off, leapt under the tank and... boom. Kinda sick if you ask me.

Re: All creatures great and small (and somewhere in between)

Good god, what kinds of bats live around there?! It sounds like someone had some very pissed off captive bat that they left for you. I personally like bats, but my rule for any creature is: if it begins to attack me or something I feel a need to protect (ie: puppy, other human, livestock), its life...

Re: Conspiracy...

You might want to watch your wording there. I take it you aren't supportive of all his other regimes, of course?

Re: All creatures great and small (and somewhere in between)

I'd say it would most definitely be a predator that would evolve to sentience, if any did. And it would have to be one that hunted fast, agile, and/or defensive prey. Intelligence is no bonus when your prey simply falls over and dies (like a cow) - in that case, bigger would be better than smarter.

Re: All creatures great and small (and somewhere in between)

You do know how many endangered animals humans are protecting, right? Chances are, tigers, pandas, and several other smaller things which i can't remember off the top of my head would be gone.

And I can't see wolves progressing very far. At least not within the next million(s) years.

Re: All creatures great and small (and somewhere in between)

I wouldn't really like to guess - the human race is so influential over most of the worlds eco-systems that if we all dissappeared, the whole thing would go to hell for a while. But I would stick with it being some sort of primate, no other animal has that sort of higher brain function as far as I k...
