Wow, thats a nice remake. But 78€ goes way over my do-cool-stuff-budget.
Guess I'll have to stick with the Space Hulk SP :)

If I could find a clear and large picture of the map, and if I could get the rules and pieces listing, and if I had the determination to, I could make the game myself for like 10$ since I already have terminators and genestealer models at my house. ;-)

It looks okay but I'll stick with the war game.

Daaaaamn, just when I decided to stop doing the hobby altogether and GW bring this out.
I have many names that only the wind and trees can say. I am the mountain, the forest and the earth.

got a look at the contents this morning at my local game store, as they got a store copy 2 weeks ahead of time.

the miniatures are 40k scale, and they are really nice. the board pieces and counters are good quality too.

the owner of the store is cool, so im sure that he'll be willing to play a game or 2 with me in a couple days

finally got a chance to play my first game with my dad tonight. we did the first mission 2 times. first round i was the stealers and he was marines. i kept all my stealers out of LOS until they got about half way to the objective, then i swarmed him. needless to say, i slaughtered him.

second round i was the marines. i made it about half way, losing all my marines but my flamer. i used up 5 of my 6 flamer shots, then proceded to literally punch my way to victory. every turn i moved and close combated genestealers, and i ended up killing 10+ in CC before punching through the door to the room i had to flame, and then flamed the room, winning the game. it was the single most epic thing i have seen in ANY 40k related game yet :P

thats some serious luck that you survived 10 genestealer fights and your dad didn't roll a single 6... ha ha, good job Hivey! I can tell that you must have felt really epic after that. Your dad on the other hand was probably saying what the **** ;)

[edit]

oh, and I forgot to ask you to tell us about how the game works.

Yeah!
My big bro had the Space Crusade, but I can't memorize the rules for than one either. Good game back then.
Apparently these two are quite similar, right?
Uuh, and could you include some close-up pics, please.
