That's probably better off staying in the General board rather than the FAQ.

We've been getting an "I can't get the mod to work" post at least once a week now. I think that qualifies as a frequently asked question. Perhaps a very basic list of things to check before starting a new thread. And if they fail to read the faq, the first reply in such a thread can be a link to that part of the faq.

Things could include: Updating drivers, malware/virus scanning, proper DoW installation, proper Mod downloaded, proper Mod installation, uninstall/reinstall mod, uninstall/reinstall DoW and mod, searching the forum for others with same problem, starting a new thread with a clear description of the problem and some information from a dxdiag run. 9 times out of 10, the problem is solved before it gets to the "search forum" phase.

Here's something that may become an increasing issue, and also something I do not have the answer to:

"Will the nid mod work with a Steam distribution of Soulstorm?"

I'll be your guinea pig then. I have doubts because Steam likes to hide game data. Of course, it could also not be the case since the game was developed independently of Steam to begin with... although I would love it if I could go without ever putting my DVD in again to play... also because that dvd has had to be resurfaced a couple times now.

Probably not, but the combiner mod's fair easy to update.

Hi, I remember Zaha saying the possibility of adding new units from the latest codex

Here are some new units (so far i guess :P )

Pyrovore
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... rod350004a
Basically the same as the Biovore but more firepower

Hive Guard (Different from the Tyrant Guard)
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... rod370002a
Something Like the Tau XV88 :D

Venomthrope
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... rod370003a
Something like the lictor i guess :/

So will any of this be added?

At the moment, there are no plans to add in the new 5th edition units. The animators and coders that we have are pressed for time because they are all busy in Real Life. The goal is to get the mod out and get it fairly balanced, any new editions would come later when there is more time for them to implement them.
